Tivao

Oh, so you finally got curious huh? Well it’s a long story really. A friend of mine a few years ago is Jewish and we were talking about the characters that we have played and stories that I have written. At one point as I was explaining a particularly mean act I had done, she laughed and called me ‘Tival’. Well the word is Yiddish and means ‘The Devil’… not A devil… THE devil.

Well needless to say that word kept sticking. Much later on as I was running about on MU’s, I started to play on Dead of Night and saw that they had a shifter class there. At the time I was really into anime and a particular character, Youko Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho (Who's picture you'll see all over this site) was like my idol as he was so damn cold and awesome. Youko (Fox Spirits) are technically demons of the spirit world according to Japanese mythology. So I decided to name him this Tival thing… only I forgot how she spelled it and ended up with Tivao. Thus was born Kitsune (Fox) Tivao.

Many people have wild pronouncing of the name, especially since a lot of time it’s shortened to ‘Tiv’. Well it’s actually with a long ‘i’. Tie-voe. This name is my original based on a mistake and it’s been with me for years.

So now you know. The name means ‘Devil’.

Nice ta meet you. ;)
