So what is this Jpop anyway? To put it simple, it is Japanese pop culture music. Just like any other country, Japan has its own brand of powerful and enjoyable pop and rock sounds. This has been gaining a tremendous following in America and you can find pages practically worshipping a set group or star. A lot of that has to do with the surge of Japanese animation (anime) in America which is practically taking over the entertainment industry. A few years ago, the word anime was still struggling to survive beyond the elite few who had connections to the rarer shows. Now thanks to the emergence of more companies who are buying the rights to popular shows and the tireless work of fansubbers, it's almost a household word. Here I will highlight some of my favorite songs or groups and will eventually set up the Lyrics to each one of them.
